Sonny is a stunning 4-year-young orange and white English Setter with a gentle soul, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give. At four years old, he's the perfect blend of youthful energy and settled companionship. Sonny can be a little shy when he first meets new people, but don't let that fool you—he warms up quickly and soon reveals his affectionate, humorous personality. Once he trusts you, he's all heart and happily shares cuddles, smiles, and his endearing sense of fun. He does wonderfully with other dogs and is quick to make friends, jumping right into playtime with enthusiasm. Sonny walks on leash but is still polishing his manners and can pull; consistent training and daily walks will help him continue to improve. He is crate trained and does well with routine and structure. An active day makes Sonny a very content boy. After getting enough exercise, he's happy to stretch out on a dog bed or relax on the floor in the evenings, soaking up the calm of home life. While he doesn't insist on climbing onto furniture, he certainly wouldn't mind being invited to lounge closer to his people. Sonny enjoys spending time in the yard and doesn't attempt to escape, though his curious nature means he likes to keep an eye on everything happening beyond the fence. He has lived in a home before, has experience with children, and transitions well into family life. While he hasn't been tested with cats during his time in foster care, he would likely do best in a cat‑free home. One of Sonny's many great traits is how well he travels—he rides calmly in the car and settles in quickly, making him a wonderful companion for adventures or daily outings.
