Animal Information: Sweet Sandy is a 9-month-old, 9lb Yorkie mix that came into the Stanislaus Shelter as a stray. Shelter staff were caring for her in office, where she got along great with all the staff and other dogs. Sandy is playful and sweet, and arriving from California on Sunday 04/05/2026. Foster Profile: Meet Sandy. This sweet pup is potty trained, crate trained, and walks great on a leash. She does well with other dogs and has a playful, energetic spirit that will make her a fun addition to an active family. She can be timid with new people and will benefit from having a handler willing to help her through those emotion. She's also found her Yorkie voice and loves to alert you about the neighborhood happenings. Due to this, we are looking for a single family home for Sandy. She is a loyal companion that will be there for a good cuddle after a busy day. Her love language is her cute little squeaks when she wants attention. If you are looking for a fun, loving companion and happy to help her through meeting new people, Sandy may be your girl. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
