Psst… hi! Ebony here.

I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.

I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Ebony 🐾

The rescue’s notes on Ebony

Meet Ebony! This adorable baja mutt was rescued from the streets of Ensenada, typical baja mutt trying to survive the streets of Mexico. Ebony has been in San Diego since end of March. First she was boarding at the vet clinic while we vetted her, she is a healthy dog with all medical done. She has been staying at casa de ARWOB since early April and we have come to learn a lot about her. She is VERY dog friendly and she adores me (her caretaker /foster) she wants to be friendly wtih people BUT she is a bit scared when meeting new people/strangers who want to pet or approach her must go slow and give her time to warm up to them. Once she trusts you she is a great companion and friend. She will not grow to be larger than 30 pounds and is pretty much done growing. We state she is a terrier because she is likely a small breeds and large breed mixture in true fashion of a regular super mutt. She is house and crate trained. She is a great dog park dog and does well on walks and car rides. She would be a great match for someone with dogs at home or planning on being very active in dog friendly settings. Ebony WILL be a potential to develop separation anxiety to the wrong adopter. She has done wonderfully at her foster since she doesn't allow her to bond by providing space ei sleeps in crate at night and crates her when leaving the home. If she were to know you leave the house she will certainly try to whine which would be a problem for an apartment situation with issues on vocalization. If you are a retiree, work from home or have a normal home this would not be a problem especially if you work on it from day ONE as we see many dogs start off properly to prevent this behavior from ever developing. Would you like to meet Ebony? submit an application NOW or text/email us to check her available status. We can schedule meet and greets any day of the week/weekend or stop by an event to meet her.
