Psst… hi! Moose - Shy at first, loyal for life. here.
I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and a few zoomies) saved up for the right person.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Moose - Shy at first, loyal for life. 🐾
The rescue’s notes on Moose - Shy at first, loyal for life.
Moose is a precious pup who is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Moose may not be the first one to run up and steal the spotlight—but give him a little time, and he'll quietly steal your heart. Moose and his sibling Remi came from a home where they spent most of their time kenneled and overlooked. Because of that, Moose is still learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and truly part of a family. He's under a year old and has all the playful, goofy puppy energy you'd expect—but it comes out once he feels comfortable. Moose is a bit reserved at first and will need a patient adopter willing to give him that extra one-on-one attention he's missed out on. The payoff? A deeply loyal, sweet companion who bonds closely with his people. Moose would thrive in a home with another dog to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. He will need a secure environment and a watchful eye at first, as he may try to slip away while adjusting—he's just not quite sure the good things are here to stay yet. With a little time, love, and consistency, Moose is going to blossom into an incredible dog. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones and the patience to help them shine, Moose is waiting for you. Moose is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. His adoption donation is $600. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
