Poppy is a 5-year-old black and tan piebald soft-coated wire dachshund weighing approximately 11 pounds. A retired breeder dog, she is learning to be a pet and would thrive with a patient, experienced owner who can help her with leash training and housetraining; she is smart and food-motivated, making training achievable with consistency. Poppy gets along well with other dogs and needs a fenced yard, a home where someone is present regularly to support her training, and a family with children 12 and older—she does not do well with cats. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, crate trained, and ready to become a loving companion with the right support.
