Basset Hound · Young · Female · 47
Petaluma, CA

Special needs: Maisie eats objects, such as socks, and therefore requires very close supervision to prevent her from ingesting objects. Immediately after placement into GGBR, she threw up two socks and had one in her colon which passed on its own. The socks have been in her system since before her placement.
Psst… hi! Maisie (Livermore) here.
I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and a few zoomies) saved up for the right person.
I do come with a few special needs, but please don't let that worry you — I just need a patient friend, and I pay it back tenfold.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Maisie (Livermore) 🐾
The rescue’s notes on Maisie (Livermore)
Beautiful Maisie is an 11-month-old basset hound who was surrendered with her unrelated male companion basset hound. Both dogs have loving dispositiions getting along well with other dogs and with people. Maisie is said to have the more outgoing personality. These two dogs have lived togehter for 6 months and enjoy playing with one another, including frequently doing zoomies. They can be adopted separately, but would probably appreciate a home with a doggie playmate. Maisie is crate trained, but lately she has been vocal when confined to her crate.Like her pal, Walter, Maisie has a tendency to eat foreign objects, particularly articles of clothing, such as socks. Her ideal home will be one in which articles of clothing, towels, dishcloths, etc, will not be within her reach. For that reason, we think that an adult home might be more suitable for Maisie than a home with children, where toys and other "edibles" might be more likely to be accessible.
