Meet Freya, a petite 3-year-old husky mix with a free spirit and just the right amount of sass. Freya is everything people love about huskies—independent, curious, and always ready to explore. She enjoys being around people and will happily come say hello (sometimes with a little jumpy excitement at first!), but she’s also perfectly content doing her own thing and checking out the world around her.On walks, Freya is eager to get going and can pull with enthusiasm, so she’ll benefit from continued leash work and an active home that can keep up with her energy. She’s looking for a breed-savvy home that understands the needs of husky mixes—plenty of exercise, enrichment, and a secure yard are musts to keep this adventurous girl safe and happy.Freya has shown she can be friendly and social with people, and while she may greet other dogs, she tends to prefer her independence after the initial introduction. Slow introductions to new dogs are recommended.She can be a bit sensitive to handling/restraint and may wiggle her way out if she’s unsure, so a gentle, patient approach will help her feel secure.
