TUNDRA

Siberian Husky · Adult · Female · Large

San Jose, CA

Hi, new friend! TUNDRA here.

I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.

I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.

I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — TUNDRA 🐾

The rescue’s notes on TUNDRA

05/15/26 10:19From the foster:She's curious about her surroundings and loves sniffing everything.  She seems to really enjoy pets, including belly rubs, and is not hand shy at all- letting me touch her ears, mouth, paws with no issue.  Very playful- likes toys will bring a toy back to you but seems to prefer tug-of-war to fetch.  Very gentle with her mouth- she found a cache of chicken eggs in a bush (we have pet hens) and brought one over in her mouth completely unbroken.  She seems curious about other dogs and has barked and lunged at them on walks (has also just watched intently).  Might be leash reactive, but might just want to play- hard to tell at this point as I've only let her see dogs from across a street.  It's easy to redirect her attention and keep walking, so I think this will be a behavior that can be trained out.  Otherwise a good walker and focussed on sniffing- would fit in well with someone with an active lifestyle or with kids who want to play with a dog.  Seems eager to please and somewhat treat motivated.  She's great with and loves people, and can be barky and excited at first- has tried to jump up in excitement but has been receptive to being told to stay down.  Really just wants pets and will calm down quickly.  Seems to like knowing where I am and lying down in whatever room I am in.  She was perfectly behaved in the car- sat calmly in one spot and looked out of the window for the whole drive home.  House-trained as far as I can tell after one day.  So far she has been left alone and unsupervised for ~4 hours with no indication of destruction, getting into things, or accidents upon my return.  Overall, just a smart, affectionate dog.
