Special needs: [YELLOW]Crew volunteers recommended dog for yellow level in-shelter handling. Yellow volunteer took dog out for socialization. Stated dog was easy to leash, walk, spend time with in a small yard, and rekennel. Dog was relaxed with handling and accepted pets around head and back. During another outing, dog was groomed by a yellow volunteer, assisted by Crew volunteer with no issues. Moving to yellow.[2026-05-26 18:29:00.000]

I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.
I do come with a few special needs, but please don't let that worry you — I just need a patient friend, and I pay it back tenfold.

Devon – Sweet, Shy, Playful, and Fun to Train Devon is a shy 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix weighing 82 pounds with a happy personality and an engaging, playful spirit. Easygoing walking buddy: Devon is relatively manageable on leash and enjoys alternating between happily running around, sniffing his surroundings, and quick check-ins with his human off leash. Smart and agile: He responds to cues like "sit" and "touch" and shows off impressive agility when following treat lures up and down picnic tables. Fetch favorite: Devon loves playing fetch with a spiky ball and happily trades the ball for treats so the game can continue. Sweet but enthusiastic: He takes treats offered with an open palm politely. Devon comes when called and enjoys being petted, though he can be slightly head shy. Devon would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.
