Meet Claire (GA) — the tiny, fluffy Frenchie who refused to give up. When we first met 3yearold Claire, she was barely more than a whisper of a dog. Starving. Emaciated. Her little body covered in open pressure sores that told a heartbreaking story of neglect and suffering no animal should ever endure. And yet… when we lifted her into our arms, her tail gave the smallest, bravest wag — as if to say, "I'm still here. I'm still trying." Today, thanks to our incredible veterinary partners, Claire is on the road to recovery. Her wounds are healing. Her spirit is blooming. And that tiny tail? It's wagging with fullblown enthusiasm. Claire is friendly with people, dogs, and cats and she brings a surprising amount of spunk for a girl who's been through so much. She's small, fluffy, and full of personality — the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room just to be near you, then suddenly break into a goofy little trot because she's rediscovering what joy feels like. She's learning that soft beds are safe, that meals come every day, and that gentle hands mean love. Now she needs someone who will show her the life she always deserved — one filled with comfort, kindness, and the security she was denied for far too long.
