The rescue’s notes on Dobby

About Dobby Dobby is a sweet, gentle boy who is ready to find his person — he just needs the right home to help him get there. Dobby spent the first year of his life confined to a crate that was far too small for him, which affected his physical development. He stumbles a bit when he moves, and his body simply isn't built for rough or high-energy play. He was later found abandoned on the side of the road and came to Legacy Paws Rescue, where he has thrived with love and patience. He is currently recovering from a neuter and a mild limp that requires calm rest. Because he gets so excited around other dogs and wants to play, he needs a home where he can decompress, heal, and learn at his own pace. Dobby's personality: Dobby is affectionate, social, and eager to please. He has gotten along well with every person and animal he has encountered. He is still learning basic manners and house routines — this is his first experience living as a loved pet — but he is a willing and sweet student. Ideal home for Dobby: Calm household, ideally without other dogs or with very easygoing ones Adults or older children who understand his physical limitations Patient adopter comfortable with basic training and building routine Someone who can continue monitoring his gait and give him time to heal Dobby doesn't need a perfect home.
