The rescue’s notes on A Gia

Gia will be available for adoption after she has her luxating patella surgery completed and she has healed from the surgery. She is 7 months old and weighs 3 lbs. Her adoption fee is 1,200.00. Gia came into rescue at just 16 weeks old and in need of hernia repair and spaying and all her vaccines. Now she is currently up to date and has had her hernia repaired and spayed. She is slowly adjusting to humans as Gia was left alone with only her siblings and mama dog for 12 to 14 hours a day. She is working on her house training and basic commands. She is frightened by most new experiences but is again slowly coming around to trust her foster parents that she will be safe. Gia is not a cuddly bug and enjoys the company of other dogs. She will need a home with a fenced yard and other young dogs to show her the ropes and learn from. Currently Gia is still pending a significant medical issue that will require surgery. Gia was born with a luxated patella when she is fully grown which should be in September. In the meantime, she continues to work on becoming more socialize with humans. We are absolutely positive Gia will be a happy, healthy and well adjusted, little pup once she is finally ready for her forever home. Gia is staying with Donna in Brick, NJ.
