Special needs: [GREEN]Dog was recommended for Green by a Yellow volunteer. Green volunteer took dog out and reported dog was easy to leash, walk, relaxed with pets, easy to rekennel. Changing to green.[2026-06-11 11:44:00.000]
Well, hello! Princeton here.
I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and a few zoomies) saved up for the right person.
I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.
I do come with a few special needs, but please don't let that worry you — I just need a patient friend, and I pay it back tenfold.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Princeton 🐾
The rescue’s notes on Princeton
Princeton is a 1.5-year-old Doberman mix weighing 72 pounds with a gentle spirit and a strong desire for connection. When meeting new people, he may initially appear shy, but with a patient approach he begins to relax and reveal his affectionate nature. Once comfortable, Princeton enjoys calm attention, leans in for pets, and especially appreciates ear scratches. He thrives in stimulating, interactive environments where he can explore, play, and strengthen bonds with both people and likely other dogs. He is treat-motivated, knows "sit," and takes treats gently. Princeton enjoys observing his surroundings, checking in with his person during walks and adventures, and can be gently redirected around other dogs. During quieter moments, he is happiest with someone nearby, whether he's napping, relaxing, or engaging in calm play. Princeton will flourish in a calm, structured home with patient, experienced adopters who understand his sensitive side and can provide consistency and mental enrichment. He may be especially well suited to a home with a dedicated person or another compatible dog to help meet his need for connection and companionship during quiet times.
