Despite a rough start, he has transitioned into the ultimate indoor companion who loves house luxuries, soft blankets, and human affection more than anything. The Quick Deets on Canelo: • Personality: Affectionate, athletic, chill, curious, gentle, goofy, and deeply snuggly. • Superpower: World-record holder for "Best Couch Cuddler" He loves rolling over for belly rubs! • House Manners: A+! Fully crate trained, rarely barks, not destructive, and doesn't counter-surf. • Play Style: He has a surprisingly playful spirit for 8! He loves chew toys and catch, but always plays gently. • Leash Skills: Walks beautifully without pulling, though he needs a strong handler who can hold their ground if a rogue lizard, squirrel, or dog catches his eye. • Training & Intelligence: Incredibly food-motivated and knows Sit, Stay, Down, Up, "Look", No, and Leave it. • Dog Status: Needs to be the only dog right now. He has made massive strides with daily training to overcome past fears around other dogs, showing great potential to keep learning! • Kids & Cats: Neutral with kids on walks; absolutely no cats. • Health: Neutered, UTD on vaccines, no meds, no known allergies.
