Petra – Gentle, Thoughtful, and Blooming Every Day Petra is an 8-month-old pittie mix weighing 31 pounds with a sweet, mellow personality. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people and exploring new places, volunteers have watched her confidence grow more and more each day. Quiet and easygoing: Petra enjoys leisurely walks and self-guided "sniffaris," taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the world around her. Soft and affectionate: Once she feels comfortable, Petra enjoys treats, gentle pets, and spending time near her people. Volunteers describe her as sweet, gentle, and easy to handle. Curious young pup: She loves exploring the yard, watching birds, and investigating interesting sounds. Cheese is a particular favorite! Ready to keep growing: Petra is still learning that the world is a safe place and would thrive with adopters who can continue building her confidence through patience, kindness, and positive experiences. Recommend placement with appropriately matched dogs, or placed as a solo dog with appropriate dog friends.
