06/03/26 11:01Meet Morgan — a friendly senior looking for his next adventure.Morgan is a 9-year-old Pit Bull who arrived at the shelter with a history of living successfully in a home. He is described as house-trained, social with people, and has previously lived with cats without issue.Morgan greets staff with a loose, wiggly body and wagging tail and enjoys spending time outdoors exploring his surroundings. He is very treat motivated, knows `sit` and `shake,` and readily seeks out attention when he isn't busy sniffing. He enjoys chasing a ball and is generally more interested in investigating the environment than staying close to his handler.Morgan can be strong on leash and does not particularly enjoy restraint or having his face handled, though he has not shown aggression during veterinary procedures or handling. He responds well to treats and patience when working through situations that make him uncomfortable.Morgan may be selective with other dogs and would benefit from slow introductions. During a recent dog-to-dog assessment, he showed social interest but also displayed some pushy and over-aroused behaviors. Because of this, dog-to-dog introductions are recommended prior to adoption.Morgan is currently overweight and would benefit from a home committed to helping him achieve a healthier weight through appropriate diet and exercise.
