Winston is a 13-year-old male dachshund with a chocolate and tan long coat, weighing 15 pounds. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, and gets along well with other adult to senior dogs. Winston came to rescue when his owner entered a nursing home, and while he is a senior dog, he remains active and enjoys following his people around during the day. He will need a fenced yard, a home without children or cats, and ideally an owner who is home frequently or retired, as he does best with constant companionship and can be protective of his family until properly introduced to visitors.
