Special needs: [GREEN]Background: surrendered by owner at front counter. No paperwork describing why or w/ info about dog found as of today.B Handling 6/3/26: Standing at front on approach, leashed up easily. Pulled moderately outside. In small yard, immediately climbed into handler's lap. Allowed all over touch, including quick teeth check. Knows sit, likes treats, sniffed toys but no play currently w/ toys. Very affiliative w/ both handlers. A: Medium energy, very sweet dog w/ minimal training. Some zigzagging on leash, could use practice w/ LLW. Treat-motivated.B P: Affiliative young dog would do well in a variety of homes committed to continued/ongoing rewards-based training. Dog-savvy children might be okay.B [2026-06-03 19:03:00.000]

Naia – Sweet, Affectionate, and Ready to Be Your Best Friend Naia is a 1-year-old Shepherd/Rottweiler mix weighing 35 pounds with a loving personality and plenty of affection to share. This friendly young dog enjoys spending time with people and is happiest when she's getting pets, scratches, and attention. Affectionate companion: Naia loves being close to her people. She leans in for pets, enjoys cuddles, and was so comfortable meeting handlers that she climbed right into a lap for extra affection. Smart and treat-motivated: She already knows "sit" and enjoys treats, making training a fun way to bond and build new skills together. Easygoing with other dogs: Naia has participated in playgroups, where she was initially polite and thoughtful before relaxing and joining in the fun. She has enjoyed social time with other dogs and may do well with a compatible canine friend. Could do well in a home with appropriately matched dogs, or placed as a solo dog with appropriate dog friends. Ready for adventures: With her moderate energy level, Naia enjoys exploring the world and would love a family that can provide walks, enrichment, and continued positive-reinforcement training. Naia's sweet nature and people-focused personality make her a wonderful candidate for a variety of homes looking for a loyal and affectionate companion.
