Peanut is a 9-year-old Australian Shepherd male who is a gentle, affectionate companion with a shy demeanor that quickly warms with new people. He is happiest close to his person, enjoying snuggling and attention, and does well exploring the yard when his family is nearby. Peanut gets along well with both dogs and cats; he shows little interest in active play and would thrive best as a calm household's center of attention or paired with a low-energy canine companion. He is house-trained, crate-trained, with excellent manners, making him well-suited for apartment living, and his recent senior wellness exam showed no health concerns.
