JD Swagger is a 4-month-old Australian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix weighing 18 pounds, born on February 26th to a purebred Great Pyrenees mother and Australian Shepherd father. This gentle boy has an exceptional temperament—he watches over his littermates with a calm, protective presence and has quickly learned outdoor bathroom breaks, leash walking, and attentive listening during his first week in foster care. JD is wonderful with dogs, cats, chickens, children, and adults of all ages; he is easygoing, eager to please, and moves with quiet purpose and intention rather than high energy. Expected to reach around 50 pounds at maturity, JD is a rare "old soul" who seems to understand and comfort those around him, making him an ideal companion for families seeking a devoted, gentle friend.
