Hey, friend! Mia here.
I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Mia 🐾
The rescue’s notes on Mia
6 years old, 25 lbs. Single family home with fenced yard (not fenced patio) required. Mia is a 6-year-old Apricot Poodle weighing in at 25 pounds of energy, enthusiasm, and personality! Sadly, Mia's story began at an Amish puppy mill, where she was sold as a "miniature" poodle. As is often the case with puppy mills, the focus was on making a sale rather than responsibly breeding dogs or ensuring families were getting the right match. Recently, Mia was surrendered to our shelter by a 76-year-old owner who simply could not keep up with her energy level. Living in a senior community without a fenced yard made it difficult to provide the exercise and stimulation Mia needs to thrive. This girl is looking for an active family with a single-family home, a securely fenced yard, and plenty of opportunities to run, play, and explore. Another playful dog may be a great fit for her, too! Mia would also benefit from some basic training to help curb her enthusiastic jumping and channel all that energy in positive ways. We often try to educate our senior community about the realities of bringing home a puppy. Puppies—and many young adult dogs—require significant time, exercise, training, and patience. Finding the right match is so important for both the person and the dog. Mia is a sweet girl who deserves a home that can meet her needs and help her become the very best version of herself. Could that home be yours?
