Oh — hi! Zero here.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and a few zoomies) saved up for the right person.

I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.

I do come with a few special needs, but please don't let that worry you — I just need a patient friend, and I pay it back tenfold.

I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Zero 🐾

The rescue’s notes on Zero

Location: Fort Worth,TX (adoptable within 2-3 hours of Dallas/Fort Worth)DOB: 3/3/2025Zero is a very sweet boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was diagnosed with microphthalmia, which has left him with very limited eyesight. Unfortunately, his condition is not correctable, but Zero doesn’t let that slow him down one bit. He approaches life with enthusiasm, confidence, and joy. This boy is loving, goofy, playful, and full of energy. Once he feels comfortable, he’s incredibly affectionate and loves giving kisses. He quickly bonded with his foster mom and initially cried when she left, even if foster dad was home. Over time, he has gained confidence and now does well when left behind, while still enjoying plenty of attention from both of his foster parents. He has an active, playful side, but when playtime is over, he’s happy to curl up and enjoy a long nap. Zero absolutely loves toys! Soft squeaky toys are a favorite, but balls are at the top of his list. He enjoys tossing them around, squeaking them, and shaking them with excitement. Best of all, he’s gentle with his toys and doesn’t try to destroy them—he simply loves to play.* Fully potty trained with no accidents in the house* Quickly learns and memorizes the layout of his environment* Uses a doggie door independently* Navigates his home confidently despite limited vision* Walks well on a leash* Crate trained and settles down quickly* Learning basic commands and doing well with “sit”* Can be left uncrated at night and sleeps peacefully* Cats? Unknown. * Kids? Zero would likely do well with children, but older children may be the best fit since his limited vision and playful nature could lead to accidental bumps during zoomies and playtime. At bedtime, Zero is happy sleeping on a dog bed or the couch, but if you’ll let him, he’d much rather snuggle up in bed with his family.Zero loves playing with his foster dog sibling. His play style is active and energetic—he enjoys running, pouncing, play-bowing, and gently grabbing feet during play. Because of his enthusiasm, he would thrive in a home with another playful dog, preferably one similar in size and energy level. While he enjoys having people around and would love a family where someone is home often, he has shown that he can stay home alone successfully. The Bottom Line: Zero may have limited eyesight, but he doesn’t see himself as different. He’s a happy, affectionate, playful dog who has adapted beautifully to the world around him. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a joyful spirit and a zest for life, Zero may be the perfect addition to your family.https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6Thank you for considering rescue!
