Jacob – Affectionate, Sensitive, and Deeply Connected to His People Jacob is a young German Shepherd mix weighing 55 pounds with a thoughtful, people-oriented nature. While he can be a bit sensitive in new or overwhelming environments, he shows a strong desire to connect and seek comfort from trusted handlers. Affectionate and handler-focused: Once he feels safe, Jacob becomes very loving and seeks out gentle affection. He enjoys pets, leans into touch, and often shows soft, attentive eye contact with his caregivers. Smart and food-motivated: Jacob already knows "sit" and responds well to treats, making him a great candidate for continued positive reinforcement training and confidence-building. Sensitive explorer: He can be unsure in new or busy environments and benefits from a calm, patient approach. With time, he begins to relax, explore, and engage more comfortably with his surroundings. Dog-social potential: Jacob has participated in playgroups and shown generally appropriate social behavior with other dogs, though he may be more comfortable with calm, well-matched companions or as a solo dog with structured dog interactions. Could do well in a home with appropriately matched dogs, or placed as a solo dog with appropriate dog friends. Jacob will do best with experienced adopters who can offer gentle guidance, structure, and time to decompress. With patience and consistency, he has all the makings of a loyal and deeply bonded companion.
