Well, hello! BEAR here.
I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — BEAR 🐾
The rescue’s notes on BEAR
WATCH MY VIDEO...Bear is a handsome 4-year-old brindle Lab mix with a heart as big as his name. Right now, Bear is confused and heartbroken. After spending the last three years with the family he loved, he suddenly found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own. His owner is facing serious medical treatment in another state and made the difficult decision to surrender him. If there were ever a dog who deserves a second chance, it's Bear. His former family couldn't say enough wonderful things about him. Bear is housebroken, crate trained, and has lived successfully with adults, children as young as one year old, dogs, and even cats. In fact, he enjoys playing with his feline companion and gets along very well with cats. Bear is a loving, affectionate dog who enjoys being close to his people. He loves cuddling on the couch, exploring outdoors, running around the track, and stretching out in a sunny spot for a nap. He also has a playful side and can often be found chasing lizards, although his family reports he never actually catches them! His favorite toy? A good rope toy that he can proudly carry around. Shelter staff and volunteers have quickly become fans of this sweet boy. They describe him as friendly, gentle, and easy to handle. Bear may show a burst of excitement when he first comes out of his kennel, but he settles down nicely once outside. He walks well on leash, is easy to collar and leash up, and enjoys spending time with his handlers. With his wonderful temperament, proven family history, and affectionate personality, Bear truly checks all the boxes. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a cuddle companion, or a family dog who already knows how to be part of a household, Bear may be exactly who you've been searching for. Come meet Bear and help mend his broken heart. In return, he'll give you a lifetime of loyalty, love, and companionship.
