Well, hello! ROCKET here.
I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — ROCKET 🐾
The rescue’s notes on ROCKET
Meet Rocket â Ready for His New BeginningRocket comes to us as an owner surrender after his former family could no longer manage the care he and the many other dogs in the home needed and deserved.Trying their best to care for a large number of dogs while fearing they might lose their housing, they quickly became overwhelmed and reached out for help. Our Animal Control Officers and shelter management worked with them over the last few months, bringing the dogs in a few at a time so we could safely rehome them. Many of Rocketâs former kennelmates have already found loving families â and now itâs Rocketâs turn to find the home he deserves! This adorable brown and white beagle/hound mix is already winning hearts here at the shelter. And with every chest scratch (his absolute favorite), he just might be winning some hearts right back. At 21.60 pounds, this little cutie may be a bit nervous in the shelter setting, but he cannot hide how friendly and sweet he truly is.Heâs still learning that leashes arenât so scary, so he's hoping his new family will offer him patience and consistency as he adjusts. With love and routine, heâll gain confidence in no time.Rocket previously lived with other dogs and did great with them. We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure the best match. Weâre told that children visited the previous home and he and his dog friends did well. We do not have information on how he does with cats and cannot test for this.Come meet this little sweetheart at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville. Please bring a collar and leash or purchase a combo here for only $15 to safely take your new family member home.Adoption Hours:⢠MonâFri: 12â5pm⢠Sat: 11amâ2pmAdoption Fee: 80All adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives.
