The rescue’s notes on Waylon

This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Waylon is a one-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing 12 pounds. While we're not exactly sure what he's mixed with, his unique look certainly makes him stand out! With his pointy ears, striking blue eyes (well, one and a half blue eyes!), and confident personality, Waylon is sure to turn heads wherever he goes. This active little guy is looking for a home that can keep up with his above-average exercise needs and continue helping him be the best dog he can be through obedience training. Waylon is smart, outgoing, and enjoys the company of other dogs. However, he is not a good fit for a home with cats. Because of his energy level and confidence, Waylon would do best in a home with children over the age of 10. A fenced yard is preferred to give him a safe place to run and play. If you're looking for a fun, spirited companion with plenty of personality packed into a small package, Waylon may be the perfect match for you.
