Hi, new friend! Major here.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and a few zoomies) saved up for the right person.

I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.

I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Major 🐾

The rescue’s notes on Major

I'm Major. And let's just get the obvious out of the way first: I am HUGE. I'm a three-year-old English Mastiff, and I came in the extra-large size. Big paws, big head, big presence — and an even bigger heart to match. When you're built like me, you learn pretty quick that the gentlest souls often come in the largest packages. Now let me tell you how I got here, because it matters. I came from a breeder — an AKC breeder who, once I'd served my purpose, let me go. That's the honest truth of it. I spent my time being what someone else needed me to be, and then I was surrendered, just like that. Through no fault of my own, I had to start over. But none of that changed who I am at my core, which is this: a big, sweet, people-loving boy. I'm crate trained and house trained, so my manners at home are solid. I'm great with kids, great with other dogs, and friendly with everyone I meet. I'm a gentle giant in the truest sense. I'll be honest about one thing I'm still working on — my leash manners. When you're my size and you're excited, you've got a lot of enthusiasm to organize, and I haven't fully figured out the "walking politely" thing yet. But I'm trying, and with a patient person and a little practice, I'll get there. I'm a good boy who wants to do right. What I'm looking for is a family who sees past my size to the softie underneath — someone to give me a real home, finish teaching me the ropes, and love me like I was always meant to be loved. I'm done being someone's means to an end. I'm ready to just be a big, happy, well-loved dog. Could that be with you? AZ Mastiff Rescue Phoenix, Arizona Adopt to all states.
