The rescue’s notes on Canela
Canela is a small, energetic beagle mix. She is housetrained and does pretty well in a crate. She loves to run around the yard and she enjoys chew toys. Canela is very protective of her toys; and will guard food. Her foster family is working on learning to trade items and adding structure to her day especially when food is around. Canela does not like being held and will need patience in that regard. Canela is a very high vertical leap (around 5 feet) and her foster family does not leave her outside unsupervised. She is going to do well in a home with activities (like playing and walking), structure, boundaries and training. She is not recommended for a home with small children or cats. Canela was noted to have chased cats when she was returned to the shelter.
