Meet Sangria! At 10 years young, Sangria is proof that age is just a number. This sweet Pit Bull girl is looking for a forever home where she can trade shelter life for soft beds, leisurely walks, and all the love she's earned over the years. Sangria is a people-oriented dog who genuinely enjoys human companionship. She may be a little cautious when meeting new people at first, especially with overhead handling, but she quickly warms up and shows her affectionate side. Once she feels comfortable, she'll happily lean into pets with a soft body, gentle demeanor, and a wagging tail that lets you know she's enjoying every second of the attention. While Sangria is technically a senior, she still has plenty of pep in her step! She enjoys getting out to explore, sniffing her surroundings, and staying involved in the world around her. She'll need regular exercise and enrichment to keep her happy, though her future family should be mindful not to overdo it, especially during warmer weather. Sangria has shown friendly interest in other dogs, but she can be very enthusiastic in her greetings. She tends to rush forward and can become overly excited, so introductions should be slow, structured, and carefully managed. She has previously shown frustration around barriers, such as fences or kennel doors, and will do best with owners who understand dog body language and can help set her up for success. Because of her strength and tendency to pull on leash, Sangria would benefit from an experienced adopter who can continue working on her manners while providing the stability and guidance she deserves. Sangria has spent a decade collecting life experiences, and now she's hoping for the one thing every dog deserves: a family of her own.
