Well, hello! Copper here.

I'm a loving seven-year-old gentleman who dreams of endless fetch, cozy cuddles with my people, and maybe working through my passionate feelings about the world with your patient help.

My notes say I'm a world-class cuddler, and I'd like that on the record.

Born and (almost) raised right here in Denver.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

If all goes well, I could be curled up with my new pack by Labor Day — maybe yours, whether you adopt me or just help me get noticed.

Thanks for stopping by and giving me a moment — it honestly made my whole day. — Copper

About Copper

Copper is a cheerful, loving, and opinionated gentleman of approximately 7 1/2 years old. He is about 25 lbs and is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He is all in favor of snuggles, games, and just being with his people. He enjoys a good walk, is a fetch maniac, will show off his toys with wild growls and silly short-legged dances, or will just come cuddle with you with his stubby tootsies in the air! He's also very handsome and gets noticed wherever he goes. He does have big barky feelings about many things (strangers outside, needs more petting, THE BALL!) and will tell you loudly, so this will be something to work on in the future. Because of this, shared walls are a no-no. He also has concerns about grabby hands at his food dish, but is figuring out how to give up his toys nicely and take treats in a gentle way. He is an extremely clever fellow who is food motivated, plus he has a willing personality and is ready to learn. He likes activities that allow him to use his smarts, such as puzzle toys. He is potty trained, crate trained (though doesn't seem to prefer it) and sleeps on a dog bed or on the human bed (where he needs at least 15 minutes of hugs and belly rubs every evening.) He had issues with the toddler in his last home and so to set him up for success, he must go to a home with no children now or in the future, and no visiting children. To date, he has been an only dog. According to his previous owners, he can make other dog friends, but only with slow introductions. He has not been tested with cats. He is neutered, HW- and up-to-date with shots. He is an excellent boy, and will be very happy being the center of attention and sharing his superstar personality with his forever family. If you are interested in meeting Copper, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. His adoption fee is $375, and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
