Columbus — Social observers are heartened by a renewed embrace of the proper greeting, that joyful ceremony of the full-body wag, the spin, and the careful, courteous sniff of introduction.
The ritual, unchanged for millennia, remains the gold standard of first impressions: warm, honest, and entirely without small talk. Experts note that no human handshake has ever conveyed as much, as quickly.
